The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our world-leading sustainability team. The role involves supporting our growing Whole Life-Cycle and Circular Economy global team in the UK, with a focus on the holistic environmental impact of materials. There will be a strong emphasis on business development, health and wellbeing, and industry leadership, with support from the management team. You will need to quickly assimilate the innovative services we have developed to effectively promote our offerings and the wider Cundall capacity in the local market.
Working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will analyse, report, model and document sustainability projects as well as host workshops and present to clients with the aim of expanding sustainability best practices, health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing delivery of consultancy projects
- Appraisal of building fabric and materials
- Writing technical summary reports and detailed technical reports
- Client consulting; determining expectations and achieving deliverables
- Liaison with clients, project partners and key stakeholders
- Analysis of large datasets, condensing into robust and digestible outputs
- Supporting both junior level consultants and senior colleagues
- Creating strategies and carbon reduction pathways
- Internal quality assurance
- Presenting results to clients
The Skills
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering, architecture, or the built environment, you will demonstrate strong knowledge of building materials and embodied carbon, along with a comprehensive understanding of environmental impact quantification, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Whole Life-Cycle Carbon Assessment methodology, and environmental science. Experience with Circular Economy Statements and strategies is highly desirable.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
