I have worked in acoustics for 15 years, which has been a natural grouping of my interests in physics and music, and the behavioural and physiological responses to sound by human and animal species alike. I am a member of the Institute of Acoustics and the Institution of Environmental Sciences, an Incorporated Engineer, a Chartered Environmentalist, and have a degree in Acoustical Engineering from the University of Southampton.
Creativity
I love being involved in high-aspiration projects and being challenged to come up with novel acoustical solutions that are balanced with other technical constraints. It’s a testament to the in-depth knowledge of the Cundall acoustics team and their ability to approach problems with a pragmatic imagination.
Collaboration
I’ve been impressed at how quickly I’ve been welcomed into Cundall since joining in late 2021. Everyone’s been keen to discuss how acoustics can integrate with their technical disciplines. There’s a real sense of people being experts in their specialisms and still having an inquisitive appreciation about all other elements of a project.
