Like many people, I fell into engineering as a fall-back option when my short-lived music career inevitably failed. That said, I really enjoyed technical subjects at school, so engineering was a natural fit for me. STEM industries are key to humanity’s growth and maturation and will play a key role in solving our greatest challenges. If science poses and frames the questions, engineering is central to finding the answers.
Creativity
There seems to be a general – and incorrect - misconception that engineers are not creative, and that creativity should instead be left to artists. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Engineers have helped create many of the historical and modern wonders of the world, and this potential for creativity is one of the reasons I enjoy working as an engineer at Cundall.
Excellence
Cundall aims for excellence across all aspects of its output and operations. This, combined with an acknowledgement that things can always be improved, has helped maintain our reputation. The depth of knowledge, level of expertise, and drive for excellence across the business allows me to fulfil my potential as an engineer.
