The facility provides research and development facilities for start-up businesses to address and develop their cyber security needs, products and services. Developed as a part of the University’s Wolverhampton Cyber Research Institute, the centre is home to 15% of the UK’s top 600 cyber companies.

During the concept stage, Cundall performed a carbon accounting ‘optioneering’ exercise using Revit to assess the embodied carbon impacts of different structural frame options and presented these to the client. A cross laminated timber (CLT) frame was chosen as it had the lowest total embodied carbon and was sympathetic to the rural location.

Vaughan Bridges, Gleeds commented "This has been my first experience of working with Cundall and it has been an excellent one. They have been pro-active in developing this scheme with the client and been very responsive to all challenges."
